Care in the community

Alon translates to "tree" or "oak tree" in Hebrew; representing growth and life but Alon also means "waves" in Filipino which links it to the Bournemouth seaside. The curved walls are a physical representation and an ode to the site location.

Alon Residences is a conceptual project focusing on providing Domestic Violence Survivors and their families a comfortable, supportive and most importantly a safe space for them to grow and move forward with their lives.

Not only does it provide a safe haven, it also has a another purpose of providing accommodation for tourists, where not only do they have a comfortable and well located accommodation, but proceeds will be put towards running the building and supporting those who have found themselves without a home.

Due to the background of domestic violence that the residence will have, their safety is the main priority.
